How many successful Internet relationships do you personally know?

Relationships that began on the net,lasted at least one year and/or progressed to marriage? I met my husband on yahoo personals 6 years ago this month, we have been happily married for three years.He drove 570 miles to see me every weekend for 2 and 1/2 years,until he could get a job and move to my area.
I was blessed. I know it doesn’t always turn out ths well.My advice to anyone considering online dating to be extremely cautious. Never give your true ID.When ready to meet,do it with a group of friends or family away from your own home.Ride with a friend, make sure you are not followed when you leave. Don’t let the person see your car,they can find out everything by the Lic.Plate. I was lucky. My husband was the only man I ever was interested enough in to risk meeting.Without my asking,he gave me all the info on him I needed to check him out.And I Did.People who have nothing to hide;Hide Nothing.

It’s like anything else in life. The results depend on how much effort you are willing to put into the thing to start with. Common sense and brains are the key to everything in life, not just personal dating sites and bad judgement. But there are lots of desparate people out there and plenty of others to prey on them
