Christian Dating Sites In Australia

Can i get birth control pills when i am 15 years old and in Australia?
I’m 15 years old and turn 16 in 3 months. My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and 2 months and just started having sex. We are using condoms but i would like to go on the pill for extra protection. My parents do not know about this, as i’m not very close with them and they are very serious about their Christian beliefs. Please do not lecture me on how i should tell them, because it really doesn’t help. I would just like to know if it is possible to get the pill if i go to a clinic or private health care provider and i am under the age of 16. I live in Sydney Australia, and i have tried to look on the internet for an answer, however most sites are for the U.S.
Thanks
Book an appointment with your local GP and say that you’d like to go on the Pill. If they ask why then you can either tell them that you’re having sex or if you’re too embarrassed, just say that your periods are really irregular and you would like some control over it.
I went on the Pill at 14 for irregular periods and acne; they will definitely prescribe it to you. If your doctor bulk bills (don’t forget your Medicare card), then all you will need to pay for is the Pill itself… which shouldn’t be more than $20.
Just make sure you go to a doctor that bulk bills otherwise you’ll also have to pay for the appointment itself, which is usually $50 – $60. Also, if you’re worried about your parents finding out, your doctor is bound by confidentiality laws to keep it between you and him/her.
Hope I’ve helped.
