I don’t have a girlfriend. What should I do?

I am almost 40. I live alone. I have 2 cats. I am straight. I like women. But my true problem is the area that I live in doesn’t have Any women that are single and my age. I work with the public and see so many older women and younger women. I was wondering what you would do if you were in my situation. I tried online dating sites (yahoo) and (plenty of fish) and realized that the majority of these women (that are my age) are looking for a home and a car, (not a man). I am going crazy and most definately doomed to live the rest of my life alone, with two cats. I’m not rich, and I own nothing. I have a great job and work over 40 hours weekly. And like I said, I deal with the public everyday and there is absolutely nobody that is free to date that is my age. I am tempted just to hire prostitutes for company but my morals prevent me from doing so. I don’t drink (bars are out of the question). Again, what would you do?

For younger individuals, it’s only natural for them to date or get in relationships because of the natural human desire for lust. But people who have control over it are different. You have a job, a home to live in, animals and are knowledgeable. I know you may think it’s hard building up a well lifestyle to have it incomplete by not being married. I would recommend getting yourself into a hobby of some sort. The reason being, from my perspective, you still have a chance. You can meet other people. You can interact. However, it will take time and patience. Starting up a hobby is much like working. Going to school and gaining knowledge and qualifications. Once you’ve obtained them, you’re set. Once you get into a hobby, you can help others or share your interest.

Hobbies such as playing an instrument. Performing at shows and local areas will boost self esteem and probably introduce you to many people. Don’t bet all your chances on one thing. It’s going to be tough. But I hope you find the will and power to keep moving. Maintaining your lifestyle.

My dream is to be able to perform as a musician. It is something I value over dating and relationships. If I could get on stage dance, sing, act, perform music, I would be fine if I made enough just to eat and live. That’s my passion and it’s something I have that burns inside of me. Even if I grow up to have a normal job, I will always be dancing, playing guitar or doing something.

Believe in yourself, treat yourself as if you were treating the “one” you were looking for. Hope everyone here helped!
