Dating Problem. No Connection….at all?

So I signed up for online dating and we met and went on a date today and I felt like it went horrible. I mean I was funny and bubbly and happy through the whole thing and seriously was trying SO hard to make him more sociable but all he wanted to talk about was video games (he’s 21, I’m 20) which is something I’m fine with talking about. It’s just that I didn’t feel any connection to him whatsoever and got tired of talking about video games, every time I tried to change the subject he’d connect it back to video games. I felt like he was talking at me and that I was talking to a wall.

He wants to see me again but I really don’t have the energy to go on another date with him when there’s no connection. I don’t know how to turn him down either because I’ve never had to do anything like this before. Part of me really wants to make a connection with him but I’m just not sure if I really want to pursue it at all.

Should I give him another chance or should I just cut him loose?

Its really up to you. I mean, if you think you could get him out of his ‘video game talk’ then do it!! I mean, don’t tell him he can’t talk about them =/ but just try to get him to talk about something else… If that doesn’t work, and you don’t feel a connection, just let him go, b/c you can’t force yourself to like someone.
