Online Dating Tips Writing Messages

Have you tried online dating? how do you get an email response?
i am just wondering because i recently joined a dating website and i have gotten a lot of winks and emails, but when i message someone who interests me they do not respond. i usually get approached a lot in person, however the online thing doesn’t seem to be working out.
i am a woman seeking men by the way, if that matters?
any tips? i know it can mean they are just not attracted to me, but i find it hard to believe that every guy i wrote to just isn’t interested when others have been messaging me
any advice would be great thank you!
I know my answer’s long but I’m a guy so you should totally be taking notes darling. Anele’s answer really is true…If you want to engage anybody, you have to ask questions…oh yeah, and they have to be courteous enough to respond! ( :
What blows my mind is that a guy would be dumb enough to never answer a girl who took the initiative for once! You must have just come across some serious deadbeats–so do not give up!
As a guy, when you are the one being approached, it feels completely different than when you are the one making your own choice to do the approaching. I was literally like, who is this person??? Why do they want to talk to me? Well, I could see myself liking them…let’s see their profile…hmmm, that was really terse and weird (and I know that if I start asking questions she’ll think I’m a nosy cyber-stalker freak, so I guess I am set up to fail) You laugh, but this is what it’s like for us. I was approached 2 times during my three month stint and I responded both times of course…one girl was from Mexico City (go figure) and another girl was from Tennessee. It increased my sensitivity because I then knew what it felt like to be approached online by someone else…you’re instinctively more cautious, more careful in the beginning, and you are not really sure whether or not you really want to get this thing off the ground–so one person is all into it and the other is still getting used to the idea, assuming they even care, which of course, is impossible to know cuz it’s online.
Remember, this is just from my personal experience. Questions are engaging, and I think sometimes women are afraid to ask questions because they think they may appear too interested–well, both parties have to realize this is the only way you will actually get to know each other!
Patience and open-mindedness for both parties is absolutely essential. There will not be an instant connection…yeah, things may be a little tense or awkward or annoying at first, but it can happen with time…but people have to take and make that time. Simple as that.
