Why do girls lie on online dating sites.?

I know it sounds kind of pathetic but out of curiosity i went on an online dating site to see what was out there. I actually talked to this girl for a while and then decided to meet in person. Her pics were all good and she looked great! Then when i go meet her shes overweight, and not very attractive at all. Come to find out the pics were like 8 years old of when she was in high school. Why do u waste my time with your illusions? I’m back to dating in R/L now i think its for the best.

Online dating isn’t pathetic and it doesn’t always end up like your experience. While I will admit that some people on there do lie for some unknown reason, not all of them do. I met my bf online and we are now living together and very happy. I was completely honest about who I was, what I was looking for, and my pics were all recent. You just met a dumb girl who thought she could trick you into a date by lying about who she was. Not all of them are like that though, I swear. And just so you know, guys on there lie a lot too. You just need to weed through the bad ones. Just so you know, people you meet in real life can also lie, it just isn’t about their appearance.
