online dating a lil help?

OK I’ve been trying a online dating site made some improvements but kinda haven’t been getting any luck on getting responses. I mean I do get at least one or two response back like with in two weeks it’s cool but I feel like I could make some improvements. Any good openers “jokes” do help but not any cheesey pick-up lines women hate that, plus starting the conversation with (hi,hey or whats up sexy) they hate that as well. Any other idea’s of keeping the conversation going so it will help develop to the next phase to sparks more interest from a pen-pal. Would like to hear from men and women.

Tell them some stuff about yourself, your life and interest, hobbies, then ask for their interests in return. That way you can mutually find out if you are compatible and also gives a lot of stuff to talk about and follow up on. It makes you look interested if you ask questions about what they wrote.
