Online Dating Guidelines
Yet another Stop-Loss question- what guidelines need to be followed in order to stop-loss a soldier?
My husband’s ETS date is Oct 3rd of this year. Rumors were that he was going to be stop-lossed. Deployment is definitely happening for his company, but a few guys in his squad have gotten out recently- no stop-loss, no issues.
They are set to deploy in October. Someone told my husband that if he does not have orders in his hand, 90 days before his ETS date, he legally does not have to go. 90 days is just a couple of weeks from now.
Can someone tell me the specifics of how stop-loss works? I’ve looked through Yahoo Answers, googled online- nada. Also, where can I find the list of MOS that are stop-lossed? It is my understanding that they cannot stop-loss just a PERSON, but everyone with that MOS.
Someone give me some clarity w/this headache, please! And save your snarky “what do you expect, they do whatever they want” comments, please. I am plenty aware of the BS that comes with being in the military. Thanks in advance.
Most units I know of, post thier Stop loss date, atleast 6 months before the deployment.
IE: they say, if your ETS after this date XX/YY
Then you are stop lossed.
With a deployment in Oct, they should have already notified anyone if they are being stop lossed.
Has your husband asked his 1st SGT or Company Commander ?
