Online Dating For Blacks
Should online dating sites be required to identify race?
I met a lady recently who I had met via an online dating service. After meeting her in person, I realized she was black (well, only a percentage, she had a black grandmother). I had no idea and it was hard to tell from her pictures. Of course this put me in an awkward position because I am white and I want to date white women (pure, not mixed). I basically told this lady I would meet her again at a restaurant and then I just didn’t show up. I am sure she eventually figured it out.
Either way, I think there should be federal laws that mandate full race disclosure for these online dating businesses. I think it is only fair so it avoids awkward situations like I found myself in. Do you agree?
Ghost, I am serious and this really did happen. This is why I feel so stronly about full race disclosure on these online dating sites.

I really think that on line dating should be required to identify race. Asian folks might want to date only Asian, etc. I can understand how this could cause a very awkward situation.
