is this just a “He is just not that into you” thing?

i met this guy online last summer, we dated every weekend and he was cool after like 3 months we had sex. because of me, i lost contact with him, we were in contact here and there. I just didn’t like the fact that he kept telling me how guys at his job try to hook him up with women. then 4 months later (now) he asked me to hang out. I figured we were back on track.then he told me how he is dating this girl WTF?????????? why the hell would you tell me something like that? and we had something going? when I told him i was dating, he looked mildly upset. after a long dinner he said he wanted to hang out with me more, perhaps at his house, but he does not want to sleep with me. WHAT! why the hell would i do that after you told me some stuff like that. anyway, i felt indifferent. we hung out and i gave him a pound instead of a hug. he look surprised. what? im supposed to like you after all of that? so what is his deal? im so confused

Asking you to hang out is not how a boyfriend talks to a woman. He just wants to be friends but he wants to make sure you dont have any boyfriends so you can remain convenient to him. He isnt much of a friend either.
