How often should you contact a girl before a first date?

I think this is always the part of relationships where I screw up. Phone/texting etiquette. So I appreciate any advice girls can give.

Let’s say you’ve met someone either online or in person and after chatting for a bit you get their phone number. How soon should you call them? Should you always call and never text or do a bit of both? Should you ask for a date soon after getting the number? Should you call fairly regularly?

Up to now this is what I’ve done:
- Never call more than twice a day.
- Call 2-3 times a week.
- Ask on date after two weeks.

But usually by the fourth call they don’t pickup anymore and I don’t hear from them again, like I did something wrong. So am I wrong?

When you get her phone number call her within 2 days, else she’ll thing you don’t care.
you are right never to call more than twice a day! Girls find it clingy and irritating. Also don’t talk on the phone for more that 40 mins, leave her wanting more.
A good morning or goodnight text is always good, makes her think of you.
Ask her to meet up, not a DATE. Just say that you’d like to meet up, informally. this makes it easier and doesn’t seem so daunting. and do it within the first week. girls get bored easily.
