funny online dating emails
Online Dating – What should I read into a first email response?

Let me start by saying, right now I don’t plan to write him back.

But this struck me, and I wonder if I’m being too harsh. I recieved a ‘wink’ from someone, and I wrote him back. My email was short, and in a nutshell – “Hey, dig the profile. Would like to chat a little more, keeping this short for now. What kind of stuff do you like to do on weekends?”

Response: “I like to hang out with you on weekends! We should chat on messenger or the phone etc…”

I’m reading it as desperate, frankly. Yes, it was that short, and that was the wording. Of course there is a CHANCE he was just being funny, but I’m wondering if I’m over-reacting or if I should be taking this as a red flag. Guys with their own lives are important to me, clingy and I don’t get along. Am I best off letting this one drop? Or am I seeing a red flag where there is none? Thanks Yahoo Throbbing Brain!

Why be on a dating site if all you want to do is send winks, messages and 3-line emails to people? Your email didn’t offer much either. There are 100′s of people on these sites and it’s a pain to write long, explanatory emails to people who have no real interest in getting together or meeting. I’d chat or call him and make a decision from there.
