Online document repository/storage, with alerts?

An organisation I work with is looking for an online document repository, mainly to keep Word documents that need to be kept updated, but also personal details like names and addresses. If they could also set up alerts, like document review dates, that would be great.

The ideal solution would be something like MS Sharepoint, as they could set up lists to store whatever database-type information they need, but they only have half a dozen users and probably not the network infrastructure to install Sharepoint.

Is there an online, ideally free, resource that they could be using?

Subversion Server can hold a repository for all the files and handle updates etc. You can download and use for free a server from

http://www.visualsvn.com/server/download/

A client is installed locally and several repositories can be configured.

They Call Me Naughty Lola is a test…
