is there a techy in the house?

Hi i have recently noticed that these supposed dating ads you see on websites have an uncanny way of knowing where in the country you are! is this because the my ISP (i think thats what it is) is visible to the advertisers? If so and every site i go on has the same location ………for instance it will have models acting out like they’re wanting a date and where they are…… for example i live in manchester uk and there supposed location is in greater manchester. Now here is the other queiry and just as important………..what if for some unknown reason ALL these sites change location from a town near manchester to a town outside manchester ……….but only just. Would that mean my ISP has changed its server terminal? I hope this makes some sense i know it does to me if you know what i mean lol. Anyway thanx in advance.

yes they can know ur ip address…

which means if u see ads being changed to another location means they have switched servers…

u can use proxy servers to spoof this though
