I am scared to start dating.?
I am 52 years old, Not a pretty woman. I am fat. I haven’t dated since 1976 partly because I don’t think there is anyone decent who would want me. I have been divorced since 1990. I chose to stay home and raise my kids. Somedays I am very lonely. Lately, I have been thinking a lot about being alone. I don’t know where I would start. I have had my name on a couple of dating websites and no one answered. I need some advice…
I would suggest not focusing on dating, at first. Since you’re lonely, you need to reconnect with PEOPLE. Take up as many social activities as you can handle. Try to avoid activities that will be mainly women, since your ultimate goal is to find a mate. Since you don’t feel you can physically attract the quality of mate you’re looking for, you need to give them a chance to get to know you so they can become interested in what you are rather than what you look like.
