Is downloading the Gakuen Heaven PC game illegal? Anywhere to download dating sims free and legally?

I’ve seen people downloading the PC version a lot and I just wanted to know if it’s legal or not before I do it. I don’t think it’s been licensed in the USA yet. If it is illegal, do you know anywhere I can download dating sims for free that is safe and legal? Thank you.

If it’s a commercial game, then downloading it without paying is technically illegal even if it is not licensed in the US.

If you want to download things free legally, stick with games that are released as freeware in the first place. There’s a couple of them on www.renai.us or some flash ones at like pacthesis.deviantart.com
